The Quaker, Neopithecops zalmora zalmora (Butler)

The Quaker ressembles very much its forest cousin P. corvus but it is slightly larger and does not have the distinctive orange-brown marginal scaling on its HW undersides.

While it was mentionned in C&P that it is not found on the hills, this particular specimen was found at 550M elevation and was puddling in the same habitats of P.corvus, though P.corvus was never observed to puddle.

  1. After so long - I only come to realise it was different from P. corvus because it puddled, something which the latter will never do!
