Below photos ID thanks to Dr. Seow:

Above 3 photos 18 February 2014 @ 11:10. This individual was singled out from the rest of the puddlers because of its size and unusual skittiness. This specimen was photographed in the hills.

A female from the lowland (S4): 21 Nov 2015 @ 10:57

Mycalesis perseoides perseoides (Moore)

This is quite a common butterfly to be found around villages fringing wooded areas as well as along open trails in the wood. This butterfly belongs to the mineus-group of Mycalesis that has many members closely ressembling one another.

Of all the Mycalesis, it most ressembles M. visala and can be differentiated by the above feature.

The Silver Royal, Ancema blanka blanka (de Nicéville)

Unmistakable lycaenid - its brilliant silver undersides will immediately set it aside form others. Fond of settling on dung on exposed spots in the forest.
