The Common Awl, Hasora badra badra (Moore)

This is an unmistakable species as it has plain brown undersides with a purple wash minus the familiar white band in H. vitta. The undersides of the hindwings has a clear white spot in the cell area. It has the same habits and is found in the same localities of H. vitta.
