Essentially a forest insect. Easily distinguished from other Mycalesis by its decidedly orange-russet undersides.

The above pristine specimen was seen on the edge of the undergrowth fringing a freshwater riverine swamp area in Raub: 31 Dec 2014 @ 12:24 - 12:28 (S4)
