Notocrypta pria (H. Druce)

This is the tiniest member of the genus Notocrypta. It is a forest insect and at a glance can be mistaken for the Demon Flitter, Oerane microthyrus. It can be identified from other Notocryptas by its small size (less than 15mm FW length) and a rather rounded forewing termen. The white apical band ressembles that of N.clavata but is narrow (about 3 mm) and reaches the costa on the undersides. Rare and confined to deep forests at all elevations.
