Elymnias saueri saueri (Distant, 1882)

Surprising to be found in submontane zone - it was seen together with E. patna in the same vicinities. Unmistakable rich dark brown and black mottling on the undersides. In flight resembles a male Euploea mulciber (in hot mid day sun). This species together with E. malelas (lowland) and E. patna forms a complex of mimicry of both the sexes of Euploea mulciber.
