The Malay Lacewing, Cethosia hypsea hypsina (C. & R. Felder)

This is a common butterfly around flowering bushes on the edge of a wooded area or around villages in the late morning as well as in the afternoon. It is unmistakable with its flame-orange uppersides and an intricately patterned undersidse with wavy serrated edges on the hindwings giving it its name.
