Due to current flowering season of roadside plants, especially the Siam Weed, I changed my trekking to photographing butterflies along forested roads in Raub, and there are plenty. Happily, this also means the opportunity to find butterflies that are not very prone to puddling activities as well as forest butterflies coming out nectaring on the abundant offing (the wet weather permitted a healthy growth spurt of roadside plants).
The weather for the past 2 days were gloomy - perfect for skippers as they stay active longer towards noon and even early afternoon. On a bend of a forested road, I found two White Spot Palmers nectaring with a few Copper Flashes and Tagiades as well.
