This is the rarest of the 3 species of Ciliate Blues to be found in the same localities and this particular species seems to fluctuate in its number, most common being the month of September. It can be differentiated from A. emolus by its pointier forewings like in A. lycaenina and its undersides has much whiter markings and a very conspicuous orange crown on the black spot on its hindwing.
