This perfect male specimen was seen puddling on a moist spot in the later part of the morning along a forested path and I was lucky to be able to snap a few photos of it before it scuttled away into the woods...This is not a common butterfly and like most Euthalia, are skittish butterflies and seem to react to the flash of the camera even in places where their contact with human presence are close to zero. Above all 3 photos from 16 September 2013 @ 10:58
