Charaxes borneensis praestantius (Fruhstorfer)

The elusive Charaxes borneensis praestantius (Fruhstorfer) was first photographed along a forest trail on 24 May 2013 @ 11:41. The broad white patch on the uppersides of its forewings is visible in flight and its undersides has distinctively darker markings than C. bernardus.

Subsequently, a different specimen was photographed puddling by a stream in an elevated location @ 550M above sea level in Raub...
