The Common Palmfly, Elymnias hypermnestra agina (Fruhstorfer)

The commonest of the Palmflies, it is found in a wide range of habitats, from villages to forested path, found to breed even on potted Chrysalidocarpus lutescens (Yellow Palm or Golden Cane Palm) in house gardens. This is probably one of the very few butterflies that actually benefited from the widespread cultivation of oil palms.
