Mycalesis anaxioides (Marshall, 1883)

Large, resembling an oversized Mycalesis anaxias. Its forewing is less quadrate and has an occellus on the upper side of the FW. Unlike M. anaxias which is montane, this species frequents deeply wooded forest at mid-elevation. In flight has a purplish tint under the light.
