In general, they are active very early in the morning and late in the afternoon - this female was already sunning itself on a rain-soaked meadow early in the morning: 24 May 2015 @ 8:41

Long Banded Silverline, Spindasis lohita senama (Fruhstorfer)

This tiny butterfly was once very common but sadly, modern town planning often neglects provisions for their well being in terms of host plants and use of pesticides (I think) has generally reduced suitable habitats for butterflies in suburban areas. Nevertheless, one particular spot in the park in Raub has a constant tiny population of this tiny jewel and I was glad I could take a few snaps of them before the gardeners destroyed the "wild patch" fringing the lotus ponds...
