The Commander, Moduza procris milonia (Fruhstorfer)

This butterfly is common in villages and jungle paths and is quite often seen along open banks of  forest streams. It also has an affinity for cement structures near forested area like recreational parks and once in awhile, in public parks. This nymphalid is distinctly different from others of the same family by the contrast of its white markings on the bronze reddish brown wings that seems to gleam in the sun.
