The Common Snowflat, Tagiades japetus atticus (Fabricius)

This is a common insect in a wooded area and is found often resting underneath large leaves in a sun-speckled undergrowth and when disturbed, will dart away very swiftly and disappear again into the undergrowth, hiding under some leaves. They do visit flowers at the edge of the forest or secondary growths on sunny disposition as do all other members of the genus.
