The Peacock Pansy, Junonia almana javana (C. Felder)

This is a common butterfly of the plains in gardens, wasteland and parks but equally found on roadsides in villages as well as open places of a forested path where its host plant, Mimosa pudica (the Sensitive Plant) has managed to colonize.
