The Tailed Jay, Graphium agamemnon agamemnon (L.)

This can be seen frequently, albeit lesser in number, with the Common Bluebottles and the Common Jays puddling on a moist spot on a sunny day. It is unmistakable because of its apple green spots and a beautiful purple brown undersides with green spots and in newly emerged specimens, flushed bright carmine near the wing basals of the forewing and hindwings as well as the body. Found in wide range of habitats from visiting flowers in open wasteland in the lowland to sub montane environment.
