The Tree Yellow, Gandaca harina distanti (Moore)

From far, it ressembles a faded Grass Yellows and often can be found puddling singly among a group of different Grass Yellows on a moist spot. Its undersides are largely unmarked and the uppersides are of a pale lemon yellow with darkened FW apex. Though Corbet mentioned that the males of this butterfly never congregate on the banks of a forest stream, it is exactly the opposite in the localities in Raub. They fly throughout the year but their numbers increase towards the earlier part of the year. Females have a rather greenish lemon yellow wings and can be observed visiting flowers in higher elevations more readily.
