The Blue Pansy, Junonia orithya wallacei (Distant)

The Blue Pansy is common butterfly in open wasteland, public gardens with grassy patches and roadsides in the plains. The males have a distinctively shiny blue-coloured uppersides of its hindwings contrasting with the velvety black forewings in which the females are much less vividly coloured and have more pronounced ocelli.
