This is the rarer and larger of the Genus Athyma and can be seen in wooded areas. It is instantly recognisable by its much larger size and a white spot dividing the cell streak on its forewings.

ReplyDeleteAthyma larymna is usually called the Great Sergeant, rather than Common Sergeant. Athyma perius is the one that is referred to as the Common Sergeant. Nice shots, by the way. :)
